If you know more than just installation, then you’ll have an easier time finding a job. When new construction growth slows, you’ll need to know how to repair equipment to have a consistent work.
Homeowners will always need repairs on their HVAC units, so a career as an HVAC technician is relatively recession-proof. As long as people can afford their homes, they will put money into them to keep the heating and cooling systems running comfortably.
